Watchman+ is the optional protection layer of B.O.L.D.'s free Watchman accountability app. It blocks explicit content on your devices, notifies your accountability pack when you may need support, tells them if protection is turned off, and lets you connect your wife.

What does my pack see when Watchman+ blocks something?

A discreet notification that you may need support. In the app they see when it happened and a general category, never the website, the content or a screenshot.

Does Watchman+ work in private or incognito browsing?

The filter works at the device level across browsers. On iPhone and iPad, Safari private tabs are checked once you turn on Allow in Private Browsing for the Watchman Safari extension, and turning that off alerts your pack.

What happens if I turn Watchman+ off?

Turning the filter off in the app takes a passcode, and your pack (and your wife, if connected) is told. Uninstalling the app or disabling protections also notifies them.

Can my church pay for Watchman+?

Yes. Many churches sponsor Watchman+ for their men; each man redeems the church's code at boldmen.org/redeem.

Why a guard matters

You can mean every word of "never again" at noon and still be one tap away at midnight. Pornography is built to catch a man in his weakest moment: tired, alone, bored, hurting. Brothers can't be in the room at 1 a.m. A guard on your devices can.

What Watchman+ does

Blocks explicit content on your devices. The filter runs on the device itself and covers your browsers and apps, with SafeSearch enforced on major search engines and YouTube.
Tells your pack when you may need support. When something is blocked, your brothers get a discreet notification — "may need your support" — so someone reaches out. They see when it happened and a general category, never the site or the content.
Speaks up if protection goes off. If you turn the filter off, uninstall the app or disable a protection, your pack is told. Turning the filter off in the app takes a passcode.
Brings your wife in, if you choose. You can connect your wife so she is told too, and share your location with her alone. See what a wife sees.
Checks Safari on iPhone and iPad, including private tabs once you allow it, for explicit images that get past a website block.

What stays private
