Now in beta
How to Block Porn on Windows
Watchman+ for Windows is in an invite-only beta. Here is what it does and how to ask for a place.
Where things stand
Watchman+ is available today on iPhone, iPad and Android, and on Mac. The Windows version is in an invite-only beta while we finish it. If your Windows PC is where you struggle most, tell us and ask to join the beta — and in the meantime, keep that computer in an open room and tell your pack it isn't covered yet.
What Watchman for Windows does
- Filters explicit sites for the whole computer, with SafeSearch at the level you choose.
- Turns off the encrypted-DNS setting in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera so they can't route around the filter, and keeps your network settings from being changed.
- Tells your pack if the filter is stopped, uninstalled, tampered with, or if SafeSearch is lowered.
How beta setup works
- Download the installer you receive with your invitation and run it. If Windows SmartScreen appears, choose More info → Run anyway, then Yes at the administrator prompt.
- Sign in with your B.O.L.D. account (email and password).
- Create a 6-digit passcode. Turning protection off takes it — consider letting your wife or a brother set it.
- Choose your Safe Search level, review your settings, and Confirm.
The Watchman icon appears in your system tray when protection is running.
What your pack is told
When protection is stopped or weakened, your pack is told. They never see the sites you visit. See what your accountability partner sees.
Until Windows is ready
