Honesty he offers, not a job you take on
What a Wife Sees in Watchman
When your husband connects you in Watchman, you are no longer left guessing. Here is exactly what you see, and what you don't.
Why a husband connects his wife
Secrecy is what keeps sexual sin alive. When a husband chooses to connect his wife in the Watchman app, he is choosing to stop hiding. That matters more than any feature. He is offering honesty instead of making you chase it.
The connection is always his choice and always visible to him. Watchman has no stealth mode, and that is on purpose: lasting change comes from a man who knows he is accountable, not from a man who is being watched without knowing.
What you can see
When your husband has Watchman+ and connects you:
- Alerts when something is blocked. If explicit content is blocked on his devices, you get a notification that he may need support. In the app's Activity list you can see how long ago it happened and what kind of block it was — never the site or the content. To spare you a stream of notifications, you get at most one alert notification a day and none overnight (10pm to 7am); every alert is still listed in the app.
- Alerts if protection is turned off. If he turns his filter off, or it stops and stays off, you are told.
- His location, if he turns on location sharing with you. It goes to you alone — never to his pack, his leader, or the B.O.L.D. staff.
His accountability pack is alerted when something is blocked too, so you are not the only one who knows and you are not the one who has to confront him every time.
What you won't see
- The content itself. You will not see the website, the image, a screenshot or his browsing history. Filtering happens on his device, and none of that is shown to you or to his pack.
- His messages with his pack. His brothers need a place where he can be completely honest. Their conversations are his.
- Anything he hasn't connected. Watchman only shares what he has chosen to share with you.
This is deliberate. Seeing the content would wound you again and turn you into his monitor. Knowing that something happened and when is enough to have an honest conversation — and his brothers are there to have one with him too.
What it can't do
No app can make a man honest, and no filter is perfect. Watchman+ guards his devices and tells the people who love him when something is blocked. The heart change comes from repentance, the men in his pack and the work he does, day after day. If you notice something that doesn't add up, trust yourself and talk about it — with him, with a counselor, or with the women at B.O.L.D. for Women.
How to get connected
- Your husband installs the free Watchman app and joins B.O.L.D. at /join.
- He turns on Watchman+ (see /watchman-plus) — on his own, or through a church that sponsors it for its men. Connecting a spouse is part of Watchman+.
- In the app he goes to Profile → Spouse → Invite your wife, taps Generate code, and shares the 6-digit code with you. It expires after 10 minutes, so use it soon.
- You install Watchman, create your own account, tap "Have a spouse code? Join your husband", enter the code and tap Link our accounts. You don't need to buy anything yourself — your access comes through his Watchman+.
If you'd like to understand the protection on his devices, read what Watchman+ does or what an accountability partner sees.

Common questions
Can my husband's Watchman alerts be sent to me?
Yes, if he has Watchman+ and connects you with a 6-digit spouse code from Profile, then Spouse, in his app. You'll be notified when content is blocked on his devices and if he turns his filter off. In the app you see when it happened and a general category, never the site or the content.
Will I see the websites my husband visited?
No. You won't see the website, the content, screenshots or his browsing history. You learn that something was blocked, when, and its general category, which is enough to start an honest conversation.
Can I see my husband's location in Watchman?
If he has Watchman+ and turns on location sharing, his location is shared with you only, never with his pack, his leader or B.O.L.D. staff.
Can Watchman run on his phone without him knowing?
No. Watchman has no stealth mode. A husband always knows it is running and always chooses to connect his wife, because lasting change comes from honesty he offers.
Do I need to pay for Watchman as the wife?
No. Your access comes through your husband's Watchman+. He generates a 6-digit spouse code in his app, and you enter it in yours to link your accounts.
