Lee Collins — Testimony

Lee leads one of the men's groups.

To say that this group has changed my life is a vast understatement.

I have struggled with pornography since I was in middle school, when I stumbled across one of my dad's magazines. I don't blame him — but he sure didn't hide it very well.

I tried to fight this thing by myself for about 20 years and had some victories, but couldn't sustain it more than a month or two. Then I would fall back into sin and feel the guilt and shame come over me. Part of the guilt and shame was that I would hide my sin from everyone.

It wasn't until B.O.L.D. that I was able to consistently open up about my feelings and sins. There is absolutely no condemnation there, and the guys genuinely care about each other.

It was in B.O.L.D. that I learned — and lived out — that the way to freedom is not trying to resist in my own strength until the breakthrough happens, or praying for God to take away my desires.

The way to freedom is through a sincere relationship with Jesus Christ. Just like when we first got saved, He wants us like we are, not perfect. I am certainly not perfect and have my days where the devil attacks. But this group rallies around each other like no other I've ever seen, much less been involved with.

This group is a life changer. I'll always be a part of this group.
