# What Does My Accountability Partner See?

## Why it's built this way

Most men don't avoid accountability because they love their sin. They avoid it because they're afraid of being exposed and shamed. Watchman is built so you can be **fully known by your brothers without being surveilled.** They learn enough to reach out to you. They never see what you saw.

> *"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* — Galatians 6:2

## What your pack sees

- **Your daily check-in** — clear, tempted, or a setback — and any note you choose to add.
- **Prayer requests and pack chat** you share with them.
- **With Watchman+:** a discreet notification that you may need support when something is blocked. In the app they see when it happened and a general category.
- **If protection goes off:** they're told if you turn your filter off, uninstall Watchman or remove a protection, so it can't quietly disappear.
- **If you go silent:** if your app stops checking in for days, your leader and pack are told.

## What your leader sees

The same as your pack, plus the roster and whether your protection is on — enough to know who needs a call this week.

## What your wife sees, if you connect her

The same "may need support" notification, the general category and timing, alerts if protection is turned off, and your location if you choose to share it with her alone. See [what a wife sees](/what-a-wife-sees-in-watchman).

## What no one sees

- **The website, the page or a screenshot.**
- **Your browsing history.** It is never uploaded.
- **Your keystrokes.** There's no keystroke logging.
- **Your location**, unless you share it with your wife — never with your pack, leader or church.

There's no stealth mode: you always know Watchman is running. And your data is never sold.

## Why "that" is enough

When a brother knows *that* you're struggling and *when*, he can call you today. Knowing *what* you saw wouldn't help him help you — it would only add shame. Accountability is a relationship, not a report.

## Get started

Join a pack at [/join](/join), download the free Watchman app, and read about [Watchman+](/watchman-plus).

## What does my accountability partner see in Watchman?

Your daily check-ins and anything you share in the pack. With Watchman+, a discreet notification that you may need support when something is blocked, plus when and a general category, and alerts if protection is turned off. Never the website, a screenshot or your browsing history.

## Can my accountability partner see my browsing history?

No. Your browsing history is never uploaded, and no one in your pack, your leader or your wife sees the websites you visit.

## Is there a stealth mode in Watchman?

No. You always know Watchman is running. Accountability works because you choose it.

## Who can see my location?

Only your wife, and only if you turn on location sharing with her. Your pack, leader and church never see it.

## Does my pack know if I turn my filter off?

Yes. With Watchman+, your pack is told if you turn the filter off, uninstall Watchman or remove a protection, so it can't quietly disappear.
