# Our Mission

**B.O.L.D. — Brothers Overcoming Lustful Desires.**

Our mission is to help men find genuine freedom from the chains of sexual addiction. True freedom begins with a willing heart, a commitment to accountability, and a desire to walk in obedience to God.

> *"The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as lions."* — Proverbs 28:1

## A path to true freedom from sexual bondage

This is a safe space for men facing battles with pornography and lust. Sexual addiction is not just limited to viewing explicit images on a phone, computer, or television — it begins in the mind. Scripture challenges us to control our thoughts:

> *"…take every thought captive to obey Christ."* — 2 Corinthians 10:5

While we believe in the Holy Spirit's power to deliver instantly, men must also walk in their deliverance, exercising their free will to remain free.

## Three pillars

### 1. Freedom Defined

Discover freedom and resist the enemy's attempts to minimize the seriousness of this addiction. Sexual sin thrives in the dark — name it, drag it into the light, and it loses its grip. We don't soften it. We don't repackage it. We call it what it is so the man across from you can finally see it for what it is too.

### 2. Be Discipled

Grow in a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and learn to lead spiritually with integrity. Most men have spent more time at the gym than in the Word. Pastor Bill Patterson once told Bryan: spend as much time and intensity building your spiritual muscle as you spend on the physical. That single sentence rewired this ministry. You are going to build spiritual muscle here.

### 3. Disciple Others

**Empowered men empower others. Free men free men.**

Once a man has tasted freedom, he is wired to bring another man with him. That's the whole point. We are not building a recovery program. We are building a community that hands the torch forward.

## Foundational scriptures

- **James 5:16** — *"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed…"*
- **Hebrews 10:25** — *"Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another…"*
- **Hebrews 3:12-13** — *"Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called 'today,' that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin."*
- **2 Corinthians 10:5** — *"…take every thought captive to obey Christ."*

## The journey to freedom

True freedom requires a process, one that begins by breaking the outer barriers of pride and selfishness to confront the root problem: lust. While the timeline for complete freedom may span **1 to 5 years**, the process is transformative.
