B.O.L.D. stands for Brothers Overcoming Lustful Desires. It is a Christian men's accountability ministry, a registered 501(c)(3), that helps men find lasting freedom from pornography and sexual sin through small accountability packs, daily check-ins, scripture, prayer, meetings, and a free 26-week workbook. The ministry builds and runs the Watchman app. ## How much does it cost? The core community is free — check-ins, your pack, prayer, scripture, and meetings. Watchman+ (on-device content blocking and real-time alerts to your pack) is $14.99/month or $99/year on the web; on the App Store and Google Play the price is $17.99/month or $114.99/year to cover store fees. A church can also sponsor Watchman+ for its whole group. ## Is my data private? Yes. URLs and screenshots never leave your device. Only categorical metadata is shared with your accountability team. ## Can I cancel anytime? Yes. Cancel from the app at any time. Premium ends at the end of your billing period. ## How do packs work? A pack is a small group of 4 to 6 men with a leader. Every day each man checks in with one tap (clear or setback) and the pack sees it right away, prays, and reaches out. Packs also share prayer requests, a group chat, and meetings, in person or virtual. Several packs sit under one church. ## Is Watchman free? Yes. The core Watchman app is free and always will be: daily check-ins, your accountability pack and its chat, prayer requests, daily scripture and devotionals, the 26-week workbook, the daily journal, and meetings. Watchman+ is an optional paid upgrade. ## What is the difference between Watchman and Watchman+? Watchman is the free accountability app. Watchman+ adds two protection layers: an on-device content filter that blocks explicit sites in every browser and sends a same-minute alert to your pack when something is blocked, and location sharing with your spouse. Watchman+ is $14.99 a month or $99 a year on boldmen.org ($17.99 a month or $114.99 a year inside the App Store or Google Play), with a 7-day free trial. ## Which devices does Watchman run on? Watchman runs on iPhone and iPad (App Store), Android phones (Google Play), Mac (download from boldmen.org/watchman), and Windows. One Watchman+ subscription covers every device you sign in on. ## Does the content filter work in incognito or private browsing? Yes. Watchman+ filters at the device level rather than inside one browser, so it applies to every browser and app on the device, including private and incognito windows. ## What does my pack see when something is blocked? Only a category and a timestamp. Your pack never sees the URL, the page, a screenshot, or your browsing history. That is enough for a brother to reach out, and nothing more. ## Does Watchman record my screen, keystrokes, or browsing history? No. Watchman never logs keystrokes and never uploads browsing history, URLs, or screenshots. On Android and Mac, Watchman+ can check what is on screen for explicit content, but that check runs entirely on the device and nothing is stored or sent. There is no stealth mode; you always know Watchman is running. ## Is there a free trial for Watchman+? Yes. Watchman+ starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged. ## How do I join a pack? Create a free account at boldmen.org/join or in the Watchman app. The ministry places you in a pack with a leader. Until you are placed you sit in the New Members group with a direct chat to an intake leader, so you are never on your own. ## Can my church sponsor Watchman+ for its men? Yes. A church buys a block of seats and every man redeems a shared code, so Watchman+ is free to him. Self-serve tiers are Small Group (up to 10 men, $75 a month), Small Church (up to 25, $150 a month), Church (up to 100, $450 a month), and Network (up to 500, $1,500 a month). Annual billing is ten months for the year. Larger ministries can contact us for enterprise pricing. ## How do I redeem a church code? Go to boldmen.org/redeem on the web, sign in, and enter the code your church gave you. Watchman+ unlocks on every device you use. Codes are redeemed on the website, not inside the iPhone app. ## Can my wife be part of this? Yes. A connected spouse gets her own Watchman spouse experience: alerts when content is blocked on her husband's devices, location sharing when he has Watchman+, and a dedicated workbook written for wives walking this road. ## How is Watchman different from other accountability apps? Watchman is built around a pack, not a single accountability partner, so a man is never carrying it alone. It is faith-integrated with daily scripture, devotionals, and prayer. Protection is privacy-first and on-device, and alerts reach the pack the same minute, not in a weekly report.
