# Accountability Software for Churches

## What a church actually needs

**Many of the men sitting in your pews this Sunday are struggling with pornography**, and a meaningful number of them are sliding toward — or already inside — an affair. Your counseling office knows it. The wives know it. Most of those men will never raise a hand during a sermon series.

The men's breakfast is not enough. The annual purity sermon is not enough. What those men need is a **green zone** — a small, named, recurring group with a code of silence and a curriculum that does not flinch. Software does not create that. Software can do four things a volunteer leader cannot do by hand:

1. **Keep a daily signal.** Each man checks in with one tap, clear or setback, and his pack sees it right away.
2. **Tell somebody the same minute something slips.** Not in a weekly report emailed to one person.
3. **Hold the structure.** Packs, leaders, rosters, prayer requests, chat, and a meeting calendar, in one place.
4. **Protect the man's dignity while doing it.** No browsing history leaves his phone. Ever.

> *"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed."* — James 5:16

## The structure: packs under a church

B.O.L.D. does not run one large room. A **pack is 4 to 6 men with a leader**, and **several packs sit under one church**. That is the shape the software enforces.

For a 40-man ministry that is seven or eight packs, each with its own leader, under your church. A man who has signed up but is not yet placed is not left floating: he sits in the New Members group with a direct chat to an intake leader until a leader picks him up.

Inside a pack each man gets a daily one-tap check-in shared with his brothers, prayer requests and encouragement in the pack, daily scripture and written devotionals, the free 52-week workbook and daily journal, and a meeting calendar for in-person and virtual groups.

The leader is the load-bearing wall. B.O.L.D.'s ask of a partner church is a point person committed for **at least one year** — if you do not have someone for that role, the ministry would rather tell you now than watch the group fold in month four. The Bold Leader Handbook, at [/books](/books), is written for that man: eight parts covering setbacks, crises, marriages in trouble, the line where a situation stops being his to carry, child safety, incident reporting, confidentiality, and a field kit of twenty-one forms and scripts.

## What the church does not see

Every pastor asks this second. The flat answer:

**The church sees no browsing details. Neither does the leader, and neither does the pack.** All content filtering and screenshot classification run on the device. Browsing history, URLs, and screenshots are never uploaded. When something is blocked, the accountability pack sees **only a category and a timestamp** — never the content, never the address, never a screenshot.

There is no keystroke logging. There is no stealth mode; the man always knows Watchman is running. No user data is sold, rented, or traded. Location sharing, when a man turns it on, goes to his linked spouse only — never to his leader, his team, or B.O.L.D. staff.

That restraint is not a limitation to work around. It is why men in your congregation will actually install it. A tool a man does not trust with his worst night is a tool he uninstalls in week three.

## Seat-block licensing and the exact tiers

A church buys a block of seats. Each man then redeems a shared code and gets Watchman+ free.

- **Small Group** — up to 10 men: **$75/month or $750/year**
- **Small Church** — up to 25 men: **$150/month or $1,500/year**
- **Church** — up to 100 men: **$450/month or $4,500/year**
- **Network** — up to 500 men: **$1,500/month or $15,000/year**
- **Larger than 1,000 men** — enterprise; contact the ministry

Annual billing is ten months for the year. A man buying Watchman+ himself pays $14.99/month or $99/year on the web, or $17.99/month or $114.99/year in the app stores. If the budget is not there, raise it on the discovery call — seats can also be comped by the ministry rather than bought self-serve.

The core Watchman app is free and always will be, so a church that sponsors nothing still gets packs, check-ins, chat, prayer, scripture, the workbook, and meetings for its men. A sponsored seat buys the protection layer: on-device blocking across every browser and app, same-minute alerts to the pack, and spouse location sharing. One seat covers every device a man signs in on — iPhone and iPad, Android, Mac, and Windows.

Men redeem at [/redeem](/redeem), on the web. **Codes are not redeemed inside the iPhone app** — send your men the web link, not a screenshot of the app.

## How to launch it in a congregation

B.O.L.D. will help you stand up a group on your own campus **at no cost to the church**. What that includes:

1. **A 60-minute discovery call** with Bryan, who will tell you straight whether B.O.L.D. fits what your church needs.
2. **The full curriculum framework** — the "what to expect" essay, the daily check-in flow, the code of silence, the leader rotation pattern. All transferable.
3. **Leader training** for your point person, usually 4 to 6 hours over Zoom or one Saturday in Rockwall, walking through the first 90 days.
4. **A B.O.L.D. team member at your first meeting** — in the room if you are within driving distance of Rockwall or Hockley, on Zoom if you are not.
5. **Six months of follow-up** — monthly check-ins, and a phone call away if the group hits a wall.

What the ministry asks in return: a senior leader in the building knows the group exists; a point person committed for at least a year; confidentiality, because the code of silence is not optional; and no financial or doctrinal entanglement — your church stays in charge of its own ministry.

A workable first 90 days looks like this. Name your point person and get him trained. Sponsor the tier that covers the men you expect, not the men you hope for — you can move up. Launch one pack of 4 to 6, not a room of thirty; the first four weeks decide whether a group survives, and they go better small. Send the redeem link to those men individually. Meet weekly. When the pack hits six, split it and hand the second one to a man you trained out of the first.

## Start the conversation

Everything the ministry offers a church, and how to reach Bryan, is on [/for-pastors](/for-pastors). The app itself is at [/watchman](/watchman), the common questions at [/faq](/faq), the ministry's convictions at [/mission](/mission), and men in their own words at [/testimonies](/testimonies). B.O.L.D. is a 501(c)(3), not a software company, which is why the core app is free.

> *"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations…"* — Matthew 28:19

How can a man go and make disciples if he is chained up to sexual immorality? Get him free.

## Can my church sponsor Watchman+ for its men?

Yes. The church buys a block of seats and every man redeems a shared code, so Watchman+ is free to him. Self-serve tiers run from Small Group (up to 10 men, $75 a month) to Network (up to 500 men, $1,500 a month).

## What does the church see about a man's browsing?

Nothing. Browsing history, URLs, and screenshots never leave his device, and his pack sees only a category and a timestamp when something is blocked.

## How does a man redeem the church code?

He goes to boldmen.org/redeem on the web, signs in, and enters the code the church gave him. Codes are redeemed on the website, not inside the iPhone app.

## How much does it cost to run B.O.L.D. at our church?

Standing up the group costs the church nothing — the discovery call, curriculum framework, leader training, and six months of follow-up are provided at no cost. Sponsoring Watchman+ seats is optional and priced by tier.

## How big should each group be?

A pack is 4 to 6 men with a leader, and several packs sit under one church. A 40-man ministry is seven or eight packs, not one large room.
