# How to Block Porn on Mac

## Before you start

You need a B.O.L.D. account with **Watchman+** (start at [/join](/join); a church code works at [/redeem](/redeem)). Watchman for Mac requires **macOS 13 or later**.

## Step 1: Download

Go to [/watchman](/watchman) and choose **Download for Mac**.

## Step 2: Install

Open the downloaded file and drag **Watchman** into your **Applications** folder, then launch it from Applications.

## Step 3: Approve the content filter

When macOS asks permission for Watchman's content filter, approve it. If macOS sends you to **System Settings**, allow it there. This is what lets Watchman filter across your browsers and apps.

## Step 4: Sign in and set a PIN

Sign in with your B.O.L.D. account so blocks reach your pack, and set a PIN. Turning the filter off takes the PIN — consider letting your wife or a brother set it.

## What your pack is told

When something is blocked, your pack is told you may need support, and sees when and a general category — never the site. If the filter is turned off or uninstalled, they're told. See [what your accountability partner sees](/what-does-my-accountability-partner-see).
